Description
Featuring fabulous cover art by Welsh artist Timothy Jenkins, the Summer 2026 issue is our first with a theme, albeit a loose one. Opening with Death's Dance by artist Diane Forde, the issue leaps into one family's blood curse in the short story "The Creeping Jesus" by author Barry Charman just to follow it up with a musical journey into the dark side with "Harvest of Shadows" by LL Garland.
The music theme continues with stories "Candles for a Nightingale" by E.J. LeRoy, "He Played On" by Robert Helfst, and "The Band Trip from Hell" by James Fritz. The issue also features stories by C.W. Stevenson with his tale "Witch of the Congo" and Marcus Whalbring's "Case ID: 26-1N4NO-0001".
The issue also features regular artistic contributors Bailey Moore, Shannon Brady, J. D. Robinson and J. Cox, along with brand-new artists to Illustrated Worlds like R.J. Smuin, Thomas Riesner, Emilie Prevost, Matt Byun, Alice Zhang and Bingyu Zhou.
It's musical mayhem with a few extras thrown in. Consider this issue part of your summer concert series.
